A week with Daddy

Hi all,
We are so happy Daddy is home this week. Diva takes a day or so to get used to daddy again...Now she talks to him, she copies what he says, shes such a parrot. I so enjoy when he's home, because I have so much more freedom. You have no idea how nice it is to go to the grocery store with no
children. Plus they just adore their Daddy....JJ was in trouble for 2 days after Daddy came home he was grounded to his room, because it wasn't clean (he had 2 days to clean it before Daddy came home but he did'nt) So after he was Ungrounded, he didn't leave Daddy's side....I think it really affected him. After Diva got over her "hurt" of him leaving her the last time she was stuck to him like glue.....what a relief for me you have NO idea!!! I get to go to the bathroom alone and take a BATH alone!!! Oh you people with no "tiny" ones forget so fast how DEMANDING "divas" can be. Anyway, back to the old way of life, Daddy is gone again...sniff......

But some fun we had this week........
Daddy before our halloween partyhal1.JPGPeople he knew in High school didn't recognize him.....

Grandma 2

We went to Anchorage today to see Grandma....She is finally out of ICU as of 3:00 Today. She looks really good and seems to be in good spirits. But the Horrible Bruising is very scary for us family. The pain just seems to be so intense, thank GOD for Painkillers I guess, and the wonderful spirit of a woman that is really strong and believes in God to take care of her and her family. She has a wonderful church fellowship (Church of Christ, Soldontna, Alaska) that cares a great deal for her and of course her family who will always be here for her. It's just too bad that it takes something so dramatic to bring extended family's to say "I love you" or to realize how important those words are. Please remember to say "I love you" to even your extended families whom you love, you never know what will happen tomorrow. Thanks again to everyones continued prayers for her speedy recovery it is greatly appriciated..

Love,

Deanna

Grandma

Thank you to everyone for the thoughts and prayers for Grandma. Took us by suprise that on friday she was told she would have a Quadrupal Bipass on Monday in Anchorage.
So yesterday Mimi was quiet and hadn't eaten dinner the previous night (I didn't know till last night or I would have kicked her rump) nor anything all day. She snuggled on the couch with Diva for most of the day (Diva must have known Mimi needed her) Mimi said she just needed to hold someone close. After a day of worry we finally find out that Grandma is fine they actually corrected 6!
Today Grandma the trooper is allready up and sitting in a chair! Must have been all the prayers and good thoughts, Thanks to All of you!

Kindergarten

Kindergarten is so much different than from when I was a kid...
JJ got to bring home a mealworm larvea. here hes is talking to unckle reck about what kind of experiment should we do

I am so pleased with the curriculum at his school...
JJ comes home excited every day and actually went on a insect hunt this afternoon afer school. Having a mealworm larvae for a pet this weekend really incresed his interest in science. He's having such a blast.
We had to feed it (it likes apples and oatmeal) and do an experiment. JJ thought "J junior" should be able to climb. but he just crawled backwards so his Hypothosis was wrong. Dont worry he and his daddy were loving the scientific experiement. I know when I was in kindergarten we didn't have this much fun. I absolutly love his teacher Mrs. B.

Parents blackmail

The rewarding part of being a parent I think is when they are teenagers. You get to show their boyfriends / girlfriends what they were like as babies/kids.

IM001947.JPGJJ and his friend....what will it look like in their senior slide show.....two friends playing dress up in the front yard....Hulk and Spiderman for the neighborhood to see.... Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with this, I just cant wait to see it in the yearbook / senior slide show.

peanutbutter.JPG

peanutbutter2.JPGDiva too.... What mother doesn't have peanut butter pictures of her babies........She stole these from her big brother and laughed and laughed about her first peanut butter experience.

IM001938.JPGOf course I am getting her future boyfriend too...LEVERAGE LATER!!!! A mommy can never be too careful...

I am not excited about my babies growing up, but if I can be rewarded later with leverage (I'll show your girlfriend/boyfriend your baby pics) and such, why shouldn't I start taking advantage of it now? My parent's did....What comes around goes around I guess....
