Blessings and Joys
Awhile back (too lazy tired to go and look for the link) I told you about my friend's kidney transplant. Today the local newspaper rand a very nice article about the family. Jim is doing well and looking so much better. Cheri is active and you wouldn't know she had just been through such a surgery. It is a blessing to all of us to see the love and sacrifice this family shares.
Today was Miss Kinzie's time to go shopping with Nani and Paw-Paw. She was a joy - chattered nearly non stop. I think she maybe has been taking lessons from her cousin Jessi. She decided that McD's was the lunch spot for the day and ate quite a bit of her lunch for once, too. Then it was off and running to the grocery store.
Shopping was done in quick fashion as the store was pretty empty - someone said something about some game on tv or something. (snort!)
Pink was the color choice for today. She was dressed in her pink dress (just like a Princess) and chose pink puddings and pink barrettes and an orange pony with a sparkly pink mane. Oh, and Barbie Princess snacks, too. (yes, in a pink box)
We had a good Bible study time at evening worship service. Our pastor is a very sincere and (sometimes) intense man. He loves his Lord and worries not a whit about telling others how his Lord can be their Lord as well.
Every morning Pastor walks about a 4 mile loop - and as he walks he prays for every member of our small body - and extended family members and loved ones of the body. I see him sometimes walking along the shoulders of the highway and it gives me a lift to know that my very own prayer warrior is out there.
Well, that is all from my end of the street for today. I trust your Sunday was a good one - that you were not too upset by the results of the game (I don't even know at this point who won, although I did see a pretty sweet turnaround just before leaving for evening service). And I hope that your week is a good one.
night all >..<
