Elite Eight

As I said last night, Timothy's post has gone on to the next Blog Madness round. There are just 8 entries left - eight out of 116 entries left. Pete emailed everyone tonight and said while we do not stand to win anything, we can at least say we have participated in the longest blogging contest in history. Heh.

With your help Timothy and I passed through the first 3 rounds undefeated. Then in Round 4 we lost to Kevin and slid into the elimination brackets. We made it through three of those to reach this spot. Double elimination is hard and it is looooooooooonnnnnnnnngggggggggg. Pete and Manny say they are working on some ideas for improvement for the next time.

But until then . . . there is still at least one more niggling little round to get through. There are 8 entries - 4 matchups. The voting starts midnight Friday (EST). Only 4 will advance to the next round, while the other 4 will step back out - this is IT for them. The 4 winners will then face off in yet another round, decreasing the size once again to 2. And, then it is the Championship Round. Pete asked a bit ago if anyone had begun to pick winners. I have one in mind that I think will walk away with the title. We'll see how my guess comes out in the end.
