He is Risen
He is risen indeed!
This is the greeting we use at Easter. I pray you are having a blessed and quiet Easter, remembering He who died to set us free.

Whew! Barely was able to get them to hold still long enough to get the photos. Cute kids, eh?
Sobering news yesterday morning - a young man from our church was found shot dead, in their home, on their bed. We have little information. His wife found him when she returned from a trip with their infant son.
She and her family and his family all attended services this moring. That was amazing to me - there were tears, but I think it must have been healing to be among the larger "church" family. Everyone took time to minister to them all before they left. I would covet your prayers for them.

Yesterday was Timothy's first indoor soccer game. There is just something about 4s and 5s playing such a sport - way too cute for words. You can find pictures
here.
After we got Timothy home and settled I took Kinzie to her dance class. There are pictures there of that also.
I have a smoked turkey breast in the oven for our dinner. That was a bit of a surprise when I opened the box this morning, as I had asked the meat man for a small ham. LOL. Well, I am sure it will be delicious, if a bit out of the ordinary. I made potato salad last night to go with the "ham". Will do up a side veggie to top off the menu.
This is the first time EVER that I did not buy Easter candy - in the past I have had to buy it at least three times each year. Yes, I confess, I ate it all the first two times. Well, I cannot afford to do that this year - I want to keep losing, not regaining. So, I let the girls be the bunnies this year. I did snag a couple of chocolates at breakfast ths morning, though. ;-))
Enjoy the rest of the day with your families. See you all later.

Happy Easter! I would imagine your weather down there is beautiful, all the snow gone? We still have most of it left, but the piles are shrinking, water and slush everywhere in the low spots, leaking into the garage, ahhh...spring.
Also, the geese are here, some song birds are warbling, squirrels are chasing each other, dogs trying to scare them through the fence -- it's mayhem! And I love it...
I hope you had a great day with your family!
