Moon-struck

Crescent Moon - 8 a.m.

As I drove over to the training, the sky lightened and the clouds began to obscure the moon, so I'm glad I caught it when I did.

Tomorrow is the last day of training. I will go over first thing to make sure the coffee is ready and to check on other supplies. Then back to the office until about 3 p.m. Back to the training to pack things up - I am off the clock at 4 p.m. so it has to be done by then.

After that, I am going to the poetry class. I am nervously excited. You can probably tell, since I wrote about it yesterday also. Printed off some of my poetry to take along - the catalog had said something about closely looking at the students' work, so thought I'd better take some. Of course, we will probably be writing something in class, too.

This is where all of my self-doubt begins creeping in - do I have one more poem locked up in my heart, in my brain, in my psyche? But, the words will come - they always come. Sometimes they are sloppy and disjointed and hard to read - sometimes they flow like a peaceful river, at others a raging torrent. It may take a few tries, but eventually they get here. At least that is my dream.

Another 40 minutes on the treadmill tonight. The first twenty are great now, as are the last 10 or so. It's those other 10 that are a real pain. Wall pushers!! Keep on, keeping on.

Have a lovely Friday - and a great weekend, just in case I don't make it on here the next couple of days.
