yawn!
Last week's total steps: 55031
Hubby asked me to go with him to a fundraiser for the local ABATE group last night. I only stayed a couple of hours, came home at 10. He didn't make it in the door until 2:30 this morning. He's a slug today, of course. And, no, neither of us drinks, he is just dead because of his self-imposed lack of sleep. Awww
I have not seen many of these folks for awhile - my life is taking me along a different path. But, I love many of them like the brothers and sisters they are. It was good to see them, if even for a short time. Last night was for a good cause - the annual Thanksgivig food drive. They will use the donated foods and purchase others to make up food baskets to be donated through area school nurses. It's a good thing.
The youngest grand was our shopping partner today. She has really turned into a little talker. Quite entertaining. Today, it seems, was Nana's day. She clung to me and only wanted me to carry her about, although she talked with Grandpa. She just was Nana's girl. Until we got her home - then she deigned to allow him to carry her indoors. Our little love bug.
This work week will be a bit unusual - work Monday, off Tuesday for Veteran's Day, work Wednesday and Thursday, off Friday-Sunday. Back to normal for a week, and then I am taking all of Thanksgiving week off. Actually it will be 10 days - the 21-30th.
And, then, oh my goodness - Christmas season will be upon us in full force. Where has our year gone?
Did anyone catch the eclipse yesterday? It was all over by the time the moon rose here in Alaska. Sigh! We miss out on some of the neatest stuff. Well, if any of you got photos, let me know where to come and see, okay?
Have a great week.
