Sunday wrap-up
Thanks, everyone, for your comments yesterday. Lisa, even if it is 65 hours from my house to yours, you are welcome anytime. ;-))
Dan, Jilly, Lori, thanks for thinking of me, too. We live in some gorgeous country up here. But, it is country that demands respect. I sometimes forget and do silly things. It would probably have been smart to have turned around and driven back home. Except that I kept thinking that it HAD to get better at some point, you know? So, I just kept driving. And, pretty soon, there was no good place - no safe way - to turn around. And, then, I was past the "point of no return" and it made as much sense to continue as it did to turn back.
Sometimes the Lord just watches over silly gits, you know?
I would covet your thoughts and prayers for next week. The Ladybug has an appointment in Anchorage and I am driving her up Friday morning. We will be there until about 4 p.m. when we plan to hit the highway for home so as to be through the mountain pass before it gets TOO dark.
This, of course, is all dependent on whether or not she drops my new grandbaby before Friday. heh ;-) It could happen.
Dezi had his shopping day today. And, he did quite well. He is a smart little dickens. Reads very well for a seven year old. (reads at a 4th grade level, actually) He obeyed well for the most part and we enjoyed having him along. Next week it is Miss Mairi's turn.
It won't be long and we will be adding the new little one to the rotation of grandkiddo shopping days. I think we are up for it. ;-))
Have a wonderful week, everyone.
