oh, the excitement
Hubby and I (and hopefully sis) are making plans for a trip of a lifetime - a dream of mine for many years - we are going to Hawaii! And, yes, we are going to see Ali! Yay.
I have been purusing the internet and dropping plastic pennies. Hubby and I have our reservations set for the first leg of the trip - Anc. to Honolulu - and the last leg of the trip - Honolulu to Anchorage. Now we are waiting for the confirmation of the interisland hop between Honolulu and Hilo.
I get to meet my blog buddy, ALI!! Naw, not excited at all, at all. This is an anniversary trip, for hubby and me, btw. Our 35th anniversary. I know, that makes me sound ancient, huh? But we were just kids, really, when we met - and when we got married. Babies at 19. We had known each other for 4 years - our whole high school life - even though we went to different schools. His buddy dated my best friend and they introduced us - and the rest is history.
35 years - whew!
During our stay in HI we will be driving up to Kona for our anniversary - actually the day AFTER our anniversary. I got a great deal on priceline.com for a hotel - we'll be staying at the Royal Kona Resort, which was recommended by a friend at work as a good option. If their published prices are to be believed, our proffered price is saving us 2/3! (the room is probably right off the kitchen or something, though - lol)
While in Kona, there are a couple of things we are looking at taking part in . . . like a trip on Atlantis. Wicked, huh? Very cool. And, then of course, there is the luau. Oh, yeah. That is a winner.
But, this is all a few months away. All the more time to dream, huh?
First we have to see this new little grandbaby arrive safely. And, do all of the many work related things and all that. Sigh.
But, soon . . . aloha.
