Final Countdown

In just under 24 hours from now Timothy's story will see its final tally at Blog Madness. Which blog entry will prevail at the end of that time period?

Double elimination is interestingly hard. I can remember when my oldest daughter used to play basketball and the tournaments would be double elimination. Oh, man, did your heart go out to the teams that lost in the first or second round and then fought it out team by team by team until they made it to the finals? Heart - it takes lots of heart to slog through double elimination. I admired the heart I saw in the basketball teams on which she played or against whom she played.

And, now I see that self-same heart in the blogs that are facing their final double elimination tonight. So, I wish each of you the best - there is the
Work Region, and
the Love Region, and
the Bills Region, not to mention
the Sports Region, in which Timothy is currently 2 votes behind.

The four survivors of this round will then be seeded against the four undefeated blogs. Now, ain't that fun? The number will be reduced again and yet again before the grand finale. At that time, we will all quit talking about blog madness. Won't we? Promise? Promise.

Fun News
I received word today that two of my entries into the 7th Annual Writers Night have been accepted. The night itself is March 11th and I will be among several other authors on the stage to read my work. One of my poems and a fiction piece will be featured. I am quite psyched about it all.

So, with that I will cut out of here for the night. Sleep tight - don't let the bedbugs bite. Okay? Okay.
