the whole gamut
Weather report:
Last week we had temps in the 40's with lots of melting and we breathed a sigh of relief as we felt the tight bands of winter loosen just a wee bit.
Then Thursday and Friday we had thick and heavy fog
The fog lasted off and on through Sunday night and into Monday. And, then it began to snow again. (insert heavy sigh here)
Today the snow continued with the added joy of extremely heavy winds - winds strong enough to bend and snap trees and cause whiteout conditions severe enough along Turnagain Arm that the State Troopers have advised that nobody travel it tonight.
But the oddest thing was what I saw on my way home from work tonight
urm, yup, that would be hail. About the size of bb's. Behind me was a gloomy and dark sky. Ahead of me, as you may be able to see, there were sunny breaks in the clouds. Above me, clouds dropping hail.
yup - hail.
Insert another heavy sigh here.
On the other hand this just assures us - much as driving both to and from work in the daylight does - spring is really just around the corner. Soon we will be seeing green and the flowers will begin to poke their lazy heads up. Soon I will be sharing pictures of cute redheaded moose babies with you. Soon
It can't be too soon for me. ;-)
