Happy Birthday, Mom
April 11, 1918 - October 23, 1973
I still miss you.
This is a picture of my Mom holding me shortly after my birth in 1950. The more weight I lose the more I look like her. And, that is comforting in its own way.
She led a hard life - and we had our "times" when I was a teenager. But I always loved her and, even more, I always respected her. (Sadly, she may not have known that, but that is adult hindsight and wisdom speaking)

Blessed be the day and the Mother and the daughter.

Very nice post, Moosie.
I look exactly like my mother, no matter how much I weigh. And our laughs are identical -- loud and hearty and audible all over the building!
My grandmother died the day before my mother turned 13. I can't even begin to imagine.
Moosey -- love the new format.
Take Care.
Pat
The more I try to relate to my mother the harder she makes it. I could only sit and listen last year while home.
To your Mudder's memory--to you-- Happy Day*:)
