It's all in my head
literally . . . well, in the occipital protuberance to be exact. It started Saturday - a pinging, sharp pain that came and went at will. It hurt, but was not debilitating. I have a pretty high tolerance to pain so just went about my weekend. It hasn't gone away - today is Tuesday. After our Supervisors' meeting this morning my reactions to it were remarked upon by a coworker. It was time to see my doctor.
He poked and prodded and questioned. He feels there is nothing to fret about - it is apparently a muscle type thing probably stemming from some cervical vertebrae out of alignment. He suggested I think about a chiropractic adjustment, but also said that it would probably take care of itself in a couple of weeks. If it still hurts in two weeks, he might want to do some xrays.
So - I continue on without fretting. ;-) After all, it's all in my head - and I am a stubborn part-Irish gal, and that is probably the toughest part about me. Heh.
The doctor was very pleased with my weight loss to date and my general demeanor since the first time he saw me (June or July 2002). Bless his heart, he told me he is proud of me. Said it does his heart good to see the change. I asked him if I could take him home. LOL.
It's incentive to continue on with the program.
Have a great Wednesday, everyone
